This summer I was invited into the home of the beautiful Bates family. They just had a sweet newborn baby boy, and wanted to get family pictures. Thank you so much for letting me photograph your family, and collect these memories for you.Their house is now decorated with several of the images you see below.
His name is Liam, but you could also call him Mr. Smiley. That is what this kid does, 95% of the time.So blessed by my sweet little boys.
What was my life like before my little boys? I mean really! This little guy, who will be 5 in February just blesses my heart. He teaches me things, and I love learning from him. For example, trying to photograph your own kids can be a bit challenging. Sometimes I get impatient with him, but if I would just sit and observe his sweet spirit he will show me something better-way better than the idea I had. Last Sunday I was in Lubbock where my parents live, so my mom helped me do a mini photo shoot of Benson. I shot mostly with film, and I'm waiting to get it back, but here are a few I shot with my 5D Mark II.

Another Lubbock session I had this past weekend was for the McAden family. I love these people very very much. This is my best friend and her sweet, and adorable family. She is like my older sister that I never had. Her kids call me Aunt Cristy. Our husbands are great buds. I went to Lubbock this past weekend for a few sessions, and this sweet family was the first of the day. We went to the Garden Art Center in Lubbock, Tx and it is one of my favorite places. I feel like I'm in a secret garden or something. However it wasn't so secret, because there were two random dogs, lots of mosquitoes, and a big spider that crawled on our blanket.Thank you Nix family for a fun morning and for having me photograph your family. Your boys are adorable. 100% adorable!
Congratulations to Violet and Sam. I took her high school senior pictures back in 2007 I think, and now she is married. I remember when we did those pictures. She told me when she gets married one day, she wanted me to be her wedding photographer. That comment just blessed my heart. Fast forward 5 years and here I am, photographing her wedding. Megan, a small town Texas girl, came all the way to Clovis for her romantic bridal shoot. She is stunning in her dress, and SHE gave it the romantic look. Megan's dark hair and olive skin make her look like she's from Spain, but she's not ha. Thanks to the Underground Embassy for letting us use your awesome art gallery. It was the perfect set up for what we wanted to achieve for her romantic bridal shoot.

Beautiful sun, no wind, and energetic little boy. This is what I got with the Hartle family session last week.I was huffing and puffing after this shoot. Their little boy doesn't stop going, and I SO wish I had his energy. The Hartle family is such a sweet loving family and I enjoyed watching dad play with their son, and mom love on their son. Do I offer digital negatives?Yes I do. I like to make digital negatives available for those crafty, gift giving clients (especially around Christmas time).
Do I think you should only order digital negatives? No way!! Portrait digital negatives should only accompany your print order. If you only purchased the negatives, then there is a chance you would never print them. Its true! I have clients that have confessed this to me, and that makes me sad. You must must must purchase prints from me to FULLY enjoy your photographs.
So after you make your print order, please fill free to purchase the digital negatives. They are great for making multiple gifts for parents and grandparents this Christmas season!
