Rise and shine beautiful and happy Friday!
Check out how fun and spunky the Morris kids are. We also added Carlos in for a few shots to liven it up a bit. I think they had fun punching him around :) I am so thankful for this family. Thank you Sara Morris for your kind words. You are the sweetest.
"My kids were so excited to do a photo shoot with you. You have helped them love having their pictures taken. They enjoy being themselves and not feeling like they have to pose and turn or tilt a certain way. They feel comfortable and that allows them to be free to be themselves. You truly capture their personalities in these pictures. Both kids had so much fun. They ask "when are we taking pictures again, we love Cristy!" Katy loves to show off her pictures and tell people that her friend Cristy Cross took them. Mike always hated having pictures done, both couple and family pictures. Then we had our first family session with you, he said "we will never do studio sessions again, Cristy is our photographer." God had blessed you with an amazing talent and we are blessed to have found you so you can share your talent with us."
I photographed more friends this weekend. These people aren't just great people, but they are also my neighbors, and these kiddos are some of the coolest around. And I love the color combo they chose. Navy blue and grey are perfect together. Take a peek at their session from yesterday.

I always do studio sessions of my kids and they have so much fun, so I decided to offer them to others. They are quirky, silly, and goofy. Kids being kids.
The Cole's welcomed me into their lovely home for a family and lifestyle newborn session. Their home has so much character, that I could stay there all day browsing around and "ooo-ing and awe-ing" over the architecture and decor of their home. The Cole's let it be a surprise whether they were having a boy or girl. Only their interior designer, Callie Parr knew. She decorated the room in the most perfect way for baby Marnie. She used an orange and purple palette along with beautiful textures, and patterns.
Baby Marnie is absolutely beautiful. Congratulations Cole family on your sweet new addition. Your two girls are the coolest :)
Featured on The Little Umbrella. Check it out here.
The Cole's had baby number two! And she is as beautiful as the blooms on a magnolia tree. (And so is her mama)
I am so excited Sarah's dress, my photograph, is featured in the"Going to the Chapel" Etsy email today. Go check your inbox if you get Etsy emails, and if not, check it out here and here. It's under "Best Dressed Guest"...Blushing Elopement Gown. And, its for sale if you want it!
And because it was featured today, I am reposting the shoot. Enjoy!
I had a dream...well maybe not a dream, but a vision. I wanted to create a styled shoot, something that would showcase my work, and other talents in my small town. I wanted to do an elopement shoot, and I wanted a storyline to go with it. So here is the story...
Guy meets girl. Girl and guy fall in love...they want to get married, but on a budget, and just the two of them...an elopement.
In preparation for the wedding, she sketches out ideas for her dress, but didn't want a typical wedding dress. She has a talent with a needle and thread, and makes it herself. She wanted something that said,"I'm beautiful" with a little sparkle, and something that would look great with her red hair. While she prepares in her way for the wedding, he prepares in his way and uses his handyman skills by making a wall that would symbolize an alter for the small and quaint wedding.
She meets him at their favorite spot carrying their wedding cake she made with love, and he takes her as his bride, with his grandmother's charming coral ring. The end.

Thanks to everyone who took part in this with me. I couldn't be more thankful, and more grateful.

I am so excited for the Hames family to see their beautiful photographs. Here is a sneak peek for you.
Jason comes from the sweetest family. He is the oldest of 7 boys, his dad is his role model, and he is a very chil, cool, guy that likes the movie "Tommy Boy." In my book, that means he is an awesome dude :) His family owns a ranch and raises baby cows, and this is where he spends a lot of his time. We ended our session at the ranch, and I got to see some of the cutest little baby cows. They were so furry, and wide eyed. Something I learned from being on the ranch is when you leave the ranch, the cow smell goes with you. If you've ever passed a cow lot, you know what smell I'm talking about :)
Oh boy I can't wait to share this session with you from White Sands, New Mexico. It is a magical place :)
Shaylee you are a beautiful girl inside and out. You have such a sweet spirit and I enjoyed your session so much. When she was five, she wanted to be a doctor. Now that she is about to graduate, she wants to be a Pharmacist. She loves pepperoni pizza, and her favorite movie is "The Notebook".
Oh and by the way, it was CRAZY windy the day we did these. We found several coves, nooks, and crannies to hide in and keep her hair from blowing all over the place :)
Have a lovely Wednesday evening.
"Thank you. You did a fabulous job capturing Amanda and all of her looks. Thanks for the time you put into these. You are a blessing." -Katharine, high school senior mom Katharine-Thank you!! Your words have blessed my heart :)
Tonight was another successful viewing and ordering session. It just blesses my soul hearing my clients say how much they like their photographs.Shaylee and her crew came over tonight and selected photographs for her prints and announcement cards. I can't wait to share what they look like!
Take a peek of a couple of my favorites...
I love ordering and viewing sessions. This is where you come over and get to see your photographs for the first time. This is also where you get to select the images you want to display on your walls as a piece of art/decor for your home. Tonight I had a viewing and ordering session with the senior below and her family, and this is just one of the many they selected as their favorites. It was fun seeing them excited and giddy over the photographs of their sweet, beautiful daughter.
I think this is one of my favorites too :)
Liam is 13 months old. I can't stop salivating over his juicy legs, almond-eyed grins, and rosy-red cheeks. It's true too. Ya know what people say-that time flies when you are having fun.
Can you even tell it was windy the day we took these? Nope, nope you can't. Believe me though. It was extremely windy. Shaylee rocked it out and is a true beauty. She had a lovely audience, her boyfriend and mom, and he kept us entertained.Thank you Shaylee, Denise, and Adrian for an awesome afternoon. I can't wait for you to see all of them!
Hellllloooo gorgeous! Amanda I can't wait for you to see all of your photographs from the session. You are so beautiful, inside and out.
Henry you are awesome. I am thrilled for you and your family to see your photographs from your session.
