I can't wait to see what they look like arranged all together.  And I love the non-traditional family shot. It is my absolute favorite from the Switzer family session.

Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Shoot

Kara and Brian have love to travel. They live in Kansas, but make it to Amarillo often. When I asked where they wanted to go for their engagement shoot they said, "Palo Duro Canyon." I loved the idea. It was totally different from where I live and totally different from where they live. It was HOT, but it was gorgeous.These two just got married two weeks ago in Kansas, and was such a beautiful wedding. I can't wait to share it with you. These two grew up and went to the same schools all the way from elementary school up until college. Funny thing is, they never really met until one day at a tailgate party for a Texas Tech University football game. Michael and his buddies were hosting, and Megan was there with a friend. Michael's dad came over to visit with Megan, and Michael walked over to "rescue" her. They hit it off immediately. He told her later that night that he was going to marry her. And that is just what he did.

Overton Hotel and Garden and Arts Center Bridal Shoot.Anjelica

This bridal shoot was special. It was special, because I knew Anjelica when she was in high school, which has been like five years ago or so. She is now a college graduate and just got married last weekend. She makes one gorgeous bride thats for sure!!We did her shoot at Overton Hotel for the first half and then moved on to the Garden and Arts Center in Lubbock. She was absolutely stunning.

Kristen and Jacob got married this weekend in Oklahoma. Congratulations to you two! A few weeks back I went up there for her bridal shoot and she took me to Heritage Hills. Gorgeous gorgeous homes!! Amazing architecture and a beautiful bride equaled to a fabulous shoot. Her dress was custom made and was perfectly fit for Kristen by a very crafty seamstress in Oklahoma.

Underground Embassy Bridal Shoot.Whitney

Whitney came down from Indiana for her bridal shoot. We went to one of the coolest places in Clovis, the Underground Embassy. It is an art gallery showcasing Drew Merritt's work and a look into his mind. It is an amazing backdrop to have for a bridal shoot and I was so thankful when they gave us permission to use their place for Whitney's session.Whitney and her husband were married in June in Snyder, Texas at the Windmill Ranch Preserve.

Whitney you were a beautiful bride the day of your bridal shoot and a beautiful one the day you got married. I love your style and the way everything turned out! I look forward to sharing your wedding with the internet world soon.

I love doing sessions outdoors and using natural light. The Cole family and I were blessed with a beautiful day for their shoot with the gorgeous sun.   A little fun fact about this family is they just opened up a doggy hotel in Clovis called The Sierra Pet Hotel & Spa and is located at 813 Norris. Shannon is also a real estate agent if anyone is looking :) Look at how much this sweet little girl has grown. Check out her newborn pictures from a year ago here.

Benson has an announcement!

I've been absent here and there and I promise I have a good excuse. REALLY! Look below and Benson's shirt will tell all.

I am currently 13 weeks pregnant and due in February. We have been blessed and couldn't be happier. Benson is learning a little bit about his new title as a big brother, and having a baby in mommies belly. When we asked him whats in mommies tummy he said, "a tiger". Gotta love that kid. He comes up with the cutest stuff. He even put a baby doll in my shirt the other day, and said "look baby in mommies tummy." Its really cute, because he is really starting to get it.

I have had a good 1st trimester. Little queezy and weak, but I know things are looking up and I will be able to keep up with Benson and have my energy back soon. Yesterday I had a session with a family who has a cute two year old. I was sore after the session, because I haven't been that active in a while :) I have to eat every two hours or I become a Preg-zilla. Its true.

We are so excited and we can't wait to find out what we are having in a month or so! Stay tuned and we'll let ya know too.

Blast from the Past

My parents kept several of my toys and dolls from when I was a little girl. As Benson has gotten older we have brought out a few of those items, some of them being Raggidy Ann and Andy. I think I remember my mom saying my room was decorated in the A & A theme and these dolls were made by a friend. Fast forward 20 plus years and now Benson likes playing with them. His names for them are Annie and Boy. Benson (age 2 or 3), Annie and Boy
