Klisty and Duffy are all dressed up and ready to get married...or wait a minute, they ALREADY ARE! This wasn't just a wedding. It was filled with wonderful sweet moments and a few surprises here and there. One of those surprises was that Klisty and Duffy have been married for two years already! Tomorrow is the big wonderful day for these two. They are getting married at the Underground Embassy in Clovis New Mexico. It is one of Clovis's coolest places for weddings. I can't wait, because these two are so fun and energetic and the wedding will be the same.Duffy is a local disc jockey and one the locations was at the Chamber of Commerce basement where they have a museum of music history. It has a replica studio where Buddy Holly recorded his music with the sound booth and recording booth as well as radios from the past. Such a cool place! Second location was at Guthels Nursery in Clovis. I LOVE this place and the people who own and work their were so wonderful to let us go in after hours. (Thats what you get when you are with Duffy Moon. A pass to do what every you want :) j/k ) Klisty is one gorgeous girl as you can see below, and I can't wait until she is all gussied up in her wedding dress tomorrow. I also can't wait to do a "Trash the Dress" session with her after the wedding is over!!

We were trying to decide where to go for there session, and Holly mentioned her parents house out in the country. As she described the surroundings where they lived I thought it was the perfect place. I knew we were going to the country, but not sure how far so I didn't bother to fill up my car with gas even when the low-light came on. Well, we drove about 25 miles or so (might be wrong on that) to her parents house and I was getting very nervous. I didn't think I would make it back and thanks to her sweet dad, he filled my car up with gas he had for his farm equipment. Thank you thank you thank you!! Maybe I should carry a gallon of gas around with me just in case. Or I could fill my car up next time I take an adventure out in the country :)On to the session... Holly and Jeremy scheduled there session with me months ago, so this session has been something I've looked forward to for a while. They are expecting child number 2 in August also so we did maternity shots as well as family.  The first image was a favorite, because they all have great smiles.  Real smiles. And  Holly has a gorgeous smile that I think she should be famous for.  I LOVE the last one of Jeremy playing with their little girl, and Holly looking on, again with that smile.   It was a total accident that he was in focus, too. I'm not gonna lie. Thankfully I just panned with his movement and got a great shot of the action filled evening with their 2 1/2 year old daughter. I think she and Benson would have lots of fun. Thanks Burgin family for a lovely evening.

We almost didn't get to do pictures for the Laughery family. Michael (dad) is in the Air Force and he and his family are based here in Clovis. He got orders that he was shipping out sooner than later and we canceled the session. Well, then they told him he wasn't going until later. So, lets just say Charlotte and her family have some sweet poeple looking after them, because the next day their session was paid for by random friends and I ended up doing their session for them like we had originally planned.Michael is now in Afghanistan and his family is in Clovis. Please pray for their family as they are apart for these 6 months. The thing I love about the internet is Michael can still see the pictures from their session and so can Charlotte. So they will in some way, still be connected even though they are apart. Hugs to the Laughery family.

The Light Show

Oh my wonderful and Awesome God.  Look what he has been up to tonight.  This has been going on for as long as an hour now.  There is no thunder, only lighting.  And it keeps popping out lighting streaks that would blow your mind.  I tried to video tape it, and then took nearly 100 images, but nothing will compare the actual face-to-face exposure. God is so wonderful and creative.  Just look at what he can do.  He commanded the lighting to strike and it did. Psalm 148:6-10

If you watch the clouds, it looks like they are circling around a party that is sound proof and all you can see are the lights being set off every other milli-second.  It is SO cool!!

Beautiful Kresta was a good sport on the windy, and cold day we did her session. She didn't let it bother her though as you can tell. She is a gorgeous girl and I'm so pleased with her session. Especially the ones with her hair up at the car wash :)
