The Bates Summer Backyard Clovis, New Mexico Newborn and Family Session

This summer I was invited into the home of the beautiful Bates family. They just had a sweet newborn baby boy, and wanted to get family pictures. Thank you so much for letting me photograph your family, and collect these memories for you.Their house is now decorated with several of the images you see below.

Baby Holden is growing and far from a newborn. He is 3 1/2 months old, and looks as sweet as ever. He is the first newborn that hasn't gone to the bathroom during the session too I might add. hahaha I left the shoot with clean blankets! Totally not the norm. Well, I HAD to share some more, because this was my most successful newborn shoot ever.  I mean, the sweet little baby didn't  potty on ANYTHING.  That is pretty awesome if you ask me.  He was just perfect. And let me just say I don't really photograph newborn babies, but I've photographed this family for 4 years now, and I wanted to do this for them.  And after this shoot, I think I want to do more!  I think I got spoiled though, because like I said before he was PERFECT.

As we were taking these pictures, and molding this little guy into position my friend said, "isn't God amazing!" He is;he really is amazing. He made this sweet little body, and put all the pieces together for him to breath, eat, and function in life. Praise God for baby Holden.Thanks to my sweet friends Ali Epps, and Jan Garrett for helping today. You are a blessing. Thanks Scarbrough family for allowing me to hang out in your home this morning and photograph your sweet precious gift. He is 100% adorable, just like his big brother.

The Reed family came in from Austin this week for a family session, and we did their session at the fair. It was so awesome and so fun to see their older daughter get so excited about the rides, especially the ferris wheel. I've photographed her since she was 5 months old. Now she's FOUR!!Oh my goodness time flies.

We have all been waiting patiently for baby Jack to arrive. His mom, Logan a past bride, called MONTHS in advance to schedule his newborn session. She is a planner. I like that. Alot. I photographed Jeff and Logan's wedding two years ago and I told them how I love being apart of peoples lives as a photographer, because you get to see them live life. Now after two years of marriage, they have a baby. These are sweet, precious moments I am SO happy my camera was able to collect for them. Baby Jack was just a sweetheart and I LOVED holding him.  He made me realize my baby (2 yrs old) is not really a baby anymore.  When I came home after their session and looked at Benson, I was kind of taken back at how BIG he is, but he will always be MY baby :)

Oh, funny story too.  You know you are a real awesome mom when you catch your babies poop as he is hanging in a knitted basket.  Yup, thats what Logan did.  And Jeff was a little grossed out.  And I was laughing :)

And, Logan and Jeff made me feel so welcomed and loved when I came into their house to find lots and lots of wedding photos I did for them. I never get to see the photographs displayed in my clients homes and that was very special to me. Thanks for a very lovely evening Scarbrough family.

Newborn sessions are always fun because they remind me of Benson when he was that tiny. Little Kylen (three weeks old) was a sweet little guy with the most handsome big brown eyes. I think his parents are head over hills for him.Check him out...
