I always do studio sessions of my kids and they have so much fun, so I decided to offer them to others. They are quirky, silly, and goofy. Kids being kids.

Tonight was a pleasant evening photographing this sweet baby and her parents. She has a head full of hair and a sweet spirit. The Burgett's Country Chic Living Lubbock, Texas Family Shoot

Leah Burgett is a Lubbock photographer, and I was blessed to photograph her and her family beginning of November. When I pulled up to there beautiful home I was so excited. It oozes country chic living. Leah is a great antique shopper as well as decorator so I had to photograph a few of my favorite pieces of her home too.Take a look! The Noble's Hill Country Marble Falls, Texas Family Session

The Noble family came to Marble Falls, Texas for a this wedding and while we were all there, they decided they wanted a family shoot in the beautiful hill country. The hill country itself is beautiful, but I never thought about how cool and different the architecture would be too.Here is a peek at the Noble's family session. They are a fun, loving family and I love the expressions captured below. I loved working with them, and I can't wait for them to see the full session this weekend!

Tricia's Maternity Shoot

Tricia is due in December and anyone who knows her and her family is so excited to meet this little baby. She is such a beautiful pregnant mamma.  Let me also add this makes 7 for her and her hubby, and her baby belly is so beautiful and perfect. I didn't see one stretch mark! Oh, and this also makes 7 boys! How does she stay so girly with all of those boys? :)You are a gorgeous mamma inside and out Tricia.

She also collects vintage baby items and has decorated the other baby rooms with the same theme. Some are handed down from family members and others were found in antique stores.

The green baby scale was her great uncles, but she bought it at an antique store in California.  She found out at the time of buying it that the scale was his, as he was a doctor, and there were two of them like this.  The other owner is John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston. Crazy right!

The Curtis's Colorful and Sunny Fall Family Session

Thank you Curtis family for coming all the way from Kansas to Clovis, New Mexico for your family session. I know you have family to visit while you are here, but I really appreciate you choosing me to be your family photographer. Your kids are darling, and so beautiful. Also, thank for letting my little ones come and play after the session, since I had to come back to pick up my props that I forgot :) It is always a joy to see you all.

Carrie and Barrett's Odessa, Texas Couples Session

Back in August I went to Odessa, Texas to hang out and photograph Carrie and Barrett for a 'just because'/'couples' shoot, and they are expecting their first baby...a boy in the Winter.I am so very excited to share the FULL session with you. This is one of my favorites of all times.

We went to the sand dunes in Odessa for their shoot. It was a perfect evening, romantic mood, and lovely light.

Grab a cup of coffee and take a look. That's what I'm about to do.

The great part of my job is I get to meet wonderful people like the Neuman family. They are gentle, sweet and wonderful people. I loved witnessing the raw emotion of excitement as he cut into the cake to find out if baby #2 would be a boy or girl.Thank you Neuman family for allowing me to photograph your family. I hope the photographs you've placed around your house brings you joy, and your LookBook (coming next week) will remind you of the story we told that day.

Fall Family Sessions and Christmas Cards

Families are booking their sessions for the Fall already people, and I can't believe it. So, what are you going to do with these family pictures?  Most people purchase Christmas cards as well as gift prints for family, and wall prints for their own home. Deadline for family sessions wanting Christmas cards or gift prints is November 17th!
