Barbara and Ross. One Year Anniversary

Congratulations to Barbara and Ross on your one year anniversary! I can't believe it has been a year since your wedding at Four Seasons Encantado Resort Santa Fe. These two officially first met in junior. She is smitten by his smile, morals values and fear of God. They love to travel together and work on home projects, like remodeling their home. She is humorous, creative, and kind. He is intelligent, hard working and caring. Together, they make a wonderful team.

Happy 4th of July Popsicles

Happy 4th of July! We made popsicles and wanted to share our simple recipe.

4th of July Pops:

Almond Milk Unsweeted Red food coloring Blue food coloring Popsicle maker

Pour almond milk into three different cups, about 1/2 full on each cup. One for red, blue, and one white-plain almond milk. Combine food dye and almond milk

Pour the first color, then let it set for 5-7 minutes in the mold inside the freezer. Each mold may vary. The mold I used is a Zoku Quick Pop and can be bought at Williams-Sonoma.

Once the layer is frozen you can pour your next layer. Repeat until you've reached the top.

The kids enjoyed it, and it was healthy all at the same time.

The Cole's Clovis, New Mexico Lifestyle Newborn Session

The Cole's welcomed me into their lovely home for a family and lifestyle newborn session. Their home has so much character, that I could stay there all day browsing around and "ooo-ing and awe-ing" over the architecture and decor of their home. The Cole's let it be a surprise whether they were having a boy or girl. Only their interior designer, Callie Parr knew. She decorated the room in the most perfect way for baby Marnie. She used an orange and purple palette along with beautiful textures, and patterns.

Baby Marnie is absolutely beautiful. Congratulations Cole family on your sweet new addition.  Your two girls are the coolest :)

Amy and Chris's Coral and Grey Lubbock, Texas Wedding at Spirit Ranch

Congratulations to Amy and Chris on getting married this weekend. It was a beautiful wedding fully centered on God. Praise His name for this beautiful couple, and the relationship He has made between Amy and Chris.

The Cole's had  baby number two! And she is as beautiful as the blooms on a magnolia tree. (And so is her mama)

I think I turned into a foodie

What is a foodie anyway?A foodie seeks new food experiences as a hobby rather than simply eating out for convenience or hunger. A person who has a refined interest in food.

I really love to cook. I find it so interesting how different types of food paired together can be so wonderful, not to mention it is relaxing.

By cooking all of these meals, my kids, husband and I have all been eating way more veggies as apart of our everyday meals.  And I promise you, they really do taste good.

Here are some of my creations since May.

New Mexico Styled Elopement Shoot

I had a dream...well maybe not a dream, but a vision. I wanted to create a styled shoot, something that would showcase my work, and other talents in my small town. I wanted to do an elopement shoot, and I wanted a storyline to go with it. So here is the story...

Guy meets girl. Girl and guy fall in love...they want to get married, but on a budget, and just the two of them...an elopement.

In preparation for the wedding, she sketches out ideas for her dress, but didn't want a typical wedding dress.  She has a talent with a needle and thread, and makes it herself.  She wanted something that said,"I'm beautiful" with a little sparkle, and something that would look great with her red hair. While she prepares in her way for the wedding, he prepares in his way and uses his handyman skills by making a wall that would symbolize an alter for the small and quaint wedding.

She meets him at their favorite spot carrying their wedding cake she made with love, and he takes her as his bride, with his grandmother's charming coral ring.  The end.

Favorite Getting Ready Moments

I love the preperation time on a wedding day. Mother and daughter, laughter, tears of happiness, excitement, and sweet memorable times with close friends and family.There are lots of emotions on a wedding day, and sometimes I catch myself crying, laughing, and excited as I watch it all unfold.  When I look back through these, I can feel time stand still.  I feel the moment again, and remember what it was like for them in those few seconds and minutes.
