Last Saturday I gave a one-on-one workshop with Leah Burgett. We talked about specific questions she had with posing, lighting, and composition and then we got to photograph this cute couple, Dusty and Jay. The one thing I didn't do and wish I would have was to take a picture of Leah. She looked beautiful that day!

This was my first time doing a workshop and I really enjoyed it. I was so humbled when Leah asked if I would do one. I enjoyed sharing my knowledge I've learned over the past 12 years I've been doing photography since attending and graduating from Texas Tech with my photography degree, and then the knowledge I've learned from having my own business the last 5 1/2 years. Not only do I want to teach others, but while I did this with Leah I also learned some great information myself.
Thanks Leah for contacting me and wanting to do this. It was so much fun. And thanks Dusty and Jay for being available to be models. You did perfect! I love how much you laughed, and smiled. It makes me smile when I look through your pictures :)

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Durbin and their fabulous wedding party
Today was a humbling day. I had my first one-on-one session where I taught someone about the way I do photography. How I pose, use my light, and compose my subjects. It was a blast, and I want to do it again! Thanks Leah Burgett for a wonderful time. You are an awesome photographer, and a beautiful woman.

Benson has been into "Dumbo" lately, and has probably watched it a couple dozen times so we thought it was only appropriate for us to go to the circus that came to town today. He loved it. I loved it. We ate popcorn, cotton candy, and a snow cone. We got dirty, smelly, and stained our faces. Good times with my little guy. The best part of it all, as we were getting tickets for the train ride he said, "I love you mommy." And this first photograph is him showing me how excited he was to go to the circus

The Zarikta's urban-style family portraits were taken in the ultra-cool art gallery, Underground Embassy in Clovis. Not only was the location super stylish, but so were their outfits that included bow ties. The Zarikta's always come prepared with cool outfits. I love how they each have their own style, but it all flows together for the family style.A big thanks to the Zarikta family for being so awesome.

I have been waiting patiently to post this session I did back in August. When I first talked with TymberLee I was so excited that SHE was excited about working with me. I had a blast photographing her beautiful face and getting to know her fun spirit. She is a bright girl with high standards, and has lots going for her.Good luck with college TymberLee!

Can I customize my cards?
Some of the colors and wording can be changed to customize your card. The design of the card cannot be changed.
How do I go about ordering my graduation announcement cards?
Great! I’m glad you are ready to order. All you need to do is decide which design you want, and images you choose.
You can place your order with me at your Ordering and Viewing Session, through your web gallery, or over the phone and email.

Baby Emmy belongs to my sweet friends Jon and Alicia. Jon was a youth intern at my church when I was in high school. Alicia and I have grown up at the same church, and she was my camp leader at church summer camp. They both hold a sweet spot in my heart. I am so excited for them with their new little baby. She is one lucky girl. Thanks sweet Emmy for being such a sweet, and happy baby. You are adorable!
Benson didn't take his nap today. He didn't want to. So I told him since he didn't want to take a nap, I was going to do a photo shoot with him. He didn't seem to care. I put on his outfit I had in mind and he started arguing a little. I said, "nap or photo shoot"? He picked the photo shoot. We started shooting and he was a little fussy about it. I said again, "nap or photo shoot"? He picked the photo shoot. And before you know it, he was having fun. My little boy is four and is the best big brother. If you ask him what he thinks about his baby brother he will tell you, "I wuv him. I'm a big bruver and I wuv baby William".
By the way, the cool 80s vest is from BabiesRus and was only $4. Crazy steal, crazy deal.
