Congratulations to Barbara and Ross on your one year anniversary! I can't believe it has been a year since your wedding at Four Seasons Encantado Resort Santa Fe. These two officially first met in junior. She is smitten by his smile, morals values and fear of God. They love to travel together and work on home projects, like remodeling their home. She is humorous, creative, and kind. He is intelligent, hard working and caring. Together, they make a wonderful team.
Happy one year anniversary!
I love how the bride incorporated grey and coral throughout her wedding party. What colors are you going for with your wedding?
Congratulations to Amy and Chris on getting married this weekend. It was a beautiful wedding fully centered on God. Praise His name for this beautiful couple, and the relationship He has made between Amy and Chris.
I am so excited Sarah's dress, my photograph, is featured in the"Going to the Chapel" Etsy email today. Go check your inbox if you get Etsy emails, and if not, check it out here and here. It's under "Best Dressed Guest"...Blushing Elopement Gown. And, its for sale if you want it!
And because it was featured today, I am reposting the shoot. Enjoy!
I had a dream...well maybe not a dream, but a vision. I wanted to create a styled shoot, something that would showcase my work, and other talents in my small town. I wanted to do an elopement shoot, and I wanted a storyline to go with it. So here is the story...
Guy meets girl. Girl and guy fall in love...they want to get married, but on a budget, and just the two of them...an elopement.
In preparation for the wedding, she sketches out ideas for her dress, but didn't want a typical wedding dress. She has a talent with a needle and thread, and makes it herself. She wanted something that said,"I'm beautiful" with a little sparkle, and something that would look great with her red hair. While she prepares in her way for the wedding, he prepares in his way and uses his handyman skills by making a wall that would symbolize an alter for the small and quaint wedding.
She meets him at their favorite spot carrying their wedding cake she made with love, and he takes her as his bride, with his grandmother's charming coral ring. The end.

Thanks to everyone who took part in this with me. I couldn't be more thankful, and more grateful.

I love the preperation time on a wedding day. Mother and daughter, laughter, tears of happiness, excitement, and sweet memorable times with close friends and family. There are lots of emotions on a wedding day, and sometimes I catch myself crying, laughing, and excited as I watch it all unfold. When I look back through these, I can feel time stand still. I feel the moment again, and remember what it was like for them in those few seconds and minutes.
It is a little late, but I wanted to give a shout out to the Durbin's for their one year anniversary. Wishing you many more lovely years together.
Happy one year anniversary to the Kempers, who are also expecting a baby soon!Lots to celebrate and be thankful for :)

Stacy and Adrian are married! Thanks Four Seasons Resort Encantado Santa Fe for a lovely space, and thanks Stacy and Adrian for a sweet, and intimate wedding. You had me tearing up at the ceremony :)
I am excited to be sharing this wedding with you very soon. Here is a little peek at the lovely decorations from Taryn and Zach's wedding.
Megan and Kyle were married on a beautiful rainy day in Bonham, Texas (30 minutes outside of McKinney, Texas) I mean pouring rain from the day before, to continuous raining the morning of their wedding, until all the guest were gone. Like, mad crazy raining. You know, for most people they might be upset about all the rain, and all the mud it was creating. Not for Megan and Kyle. They were both easy going about it all. And that my friend is why their wedding was one of my favorites, not to mention one of my most favorite couples to work with through out the entire wedding process. I also love working for brides who are referred by a friend who is a previous bride of mine :) Thanks Carrie for the referral.
Megan and Kyle got married at her mom's pasture behind her house. The trees in the field were endless, and the glossiness from the rain on the grass made the green so vibrant and beautiful. They went for a country backyard themed wedding with soft pink and creme hues. I was in heaven!!
Krystal and Andy had a beautiful wedding at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort in September. While we (Ben and I) were their scouting out locations for the bride and grooms first look, and wedding party pictures, we were surpirsed by the Native Indian dancing in the court yard along with fresh baked fry bread. It was a pleasure to see...and eat :)
Thank you Krystal and Andy for choosing us to partake in your wedding day and capture these special memories for you.
A little note from Krystal when she viewed her wedding photographs: "Oh my goodness!! You are truly amazing!! We just looked at our pictures!!! We love love love them!! :)"
I would also like to add, the cute handkerchiefs the little girls had were from my favorite wedding blog, Wedding Chicks.
Thanks to Jenna Pryor with Perch Productions for capturing the Styled Elopement Shoot on video. I am so pleased with her artistic ability to capture my shoot on video. I showed this at the bridal fair this past weekend and I am excited to share it with you.Enjoy. http://vimeo.com/57460402

Back in August Barbara and Ross had their wedding at the beautiful Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was a beautiful and intimate wedding surrounded by family and close friends. Barbara is a talented photographer in Midland, Tx, and this girl was awesome to work for. She had it all together, all organized, all set and ready to go for me. I LOVED it. I was in heaven :) The wedding was elegantly decorated in eggplant and neutral tones. Details of the wedding were spectacular. The cake had ruffles, and the centerpieces were grand, and each guest left home with lovely succulent plants.
