Kansas High School Senior Shoot
/This handsome guy is my nephew, Nathan. He and his family came in for Thanksgiving, and we made an appointment to do his high school senior shoot, even though it might not have been the first thing on his list to do while in town :)Nathan is a humble, hard working guy. Â Not to mention quite stylish, and I'm excited he is graduating this year!
Jason's Texico High School Senior Session
/Jason comes from the sweetest family. He is the oldest of 7 boys, his dad is his role model, and he is a very chil, cool, guy that likes the movie "Tommy Boy." In my book, that means he is an awesome dude :) His family owns a ranch and raises baby cows, and this is where he spends a lot of his time. We ended our session at the ranch, and I got to see some of the cutest little baby cows. They were so furry, and wide eyed. Something I learned from being on the ranch is when you leave the ranch, the cow smell goes with you. If you've ever passed a cow lot, you know what smell I'm talking about :)
Shaylee's Texico High School Senior Session, Class of 2013
/Shaylee you are a beautiful girl inside and out. You have such a sweet spirit and I enjoyed your session so much. When she was five, she wanted to be a doctor. Now that she is about to graduate, she wants to be a Pharmacist. She loves pepperoni pizza, and her favorite movie is "The Notebook".
Oh and by the way, it was CRAZY windy the day we did these. We found several coves, nooks, and crannies to hide in and keep her hair from blowing all over the place :)
Have a lovely Wednesday evening.
Sweet Words.Testimony
/"Thank you. You did a fabulous job capturing Amanda and all of her looks. Thanks for the time you put into these. You are a blessing." -Katharine, high school senior mom Katharine-Thank you!! Your words have blessed my heart :)

Ordering and Viewing Session
/I love ordering and viewing sessions. This is where you come over and get to see your photographs for the first time. This is also where you get to select the images you want to display on your walls as a piece of art/decor for your home. Tonight I had a viewing and ordering session with the senior below and her family, and this is just one of the many they selected as their favorites. It was fun seeing them excited and giddy over the photographs of their sweet, beautiful daughter.
I think this is one of my favorites too :)

Jason's Class of 2013 Texico High School Session
/Congratulations to Jason for graduating this May of 2013. More from his session to come!
Photo Safari
/I went on a photo safari a few weeks back. Basically, anything that inspired me I took a picture of it. A couple of them are from a wedding I shot, but mostly are different things around my house, or catalog pages from Fossil. I didn't realize I like the combo yellow, teal, and coral so much. I knew I loved the peach-coral color combo, but hey, I learn new things about myself everyday. I love, bright lips, blue skies, pom-poms, peach-white combo, antique floral prints, tall brown boots, confetti, watercolor effect, illustration work, cooking, latte bowls from Anthropologie, porcelain and white antique pieces, soft hues, homemade items, ombre mug I made, blue skies and rainbows, stripes, yellow-coral-teal combo, dreamy looking things, painting, globe from my childhood with torn edges, peach/pink and white stripes.
I was challeged to do this, and I would like to challenge you too.

About me and my mentor auction:
I am a portrait and wedding photographer, but first and foremost I am a wife and a mom and work from home. I would love to mentor someone who is wanting to learn more about how to succeed in a photography business while being a wife and a mom and even though I’m still learning how to do this myself, I can also provide knowledge on how to balance the two-personal life and a business. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in photography. I have had my business for 6 1/2 years and God keeps showing me new things and blessing the business. The mentor session is a 90 minute mentor session over the phone or Skype along with a Q and A via email for 1 month. The topics are yours so think of questions you want to discuss. They can be from where do you get your inspiration, to how do you run a photography business, to who I use for my products.

Ashleigh's Fashionable 2013 High School Senior Session
/Ashleigh is a girly girl. She loves to wear a dress and heels, while sipping a cup of coffee. When she was five, she wanted to be a vet, or Britney Spears. Now that she is near graduating, her goals have changed and she wants to be a fashion buyer or a stylist. I think she will be great at either of those, because she has great determination. She is a fun and sassy girl that loves paradise pie from Chili's so if you know her, take her to Chili's and buy her a dessert :) We also grabbed a few with her best friend Madi...check out her high school senior session here.
