It was a rainy day. Not exactly what you want happening on the day of your session, but it all worked out. The skies were gorgeous, and the drizzly rain made it a nice reminder of how wonderful God's creation is.Check out the sweet Wiegel family at Lake Conchas, a place where they spend their summers.
You know what is fun at a family shoot? When the kids decide to play freeze dance in the middle of it. Now that is a way to get authentic family pictures.
My best friend and her family. They are seriously one of my favorite families.
Now isn't this family just so cute. Thanks Morse family for a fun evening at the fair.
I love working with children. I truly do. This sweet little girl did so many things that reminded me of my older boy, and it was such a joy to photograph her playing, and being a child. I loved seeing her face light up with a smile as her mom hugged, and kissed her. They have such a sweet little bond, and it brings a smile to my face.
Happy birthday to this sweet little firecracker. Working with you all is always such a blessing.
Airport family sessions are awesome! I really want to do more. Thanks Sharp family for a fun, and eventful weekend.
I am doing headshots today, and I used my boys to test the light. Benson is 5 yrs old
Liam is 18 months old
Look at all that love. This photograph just oozes how much these parents adore their daughter and how much she loves her mommy and daddy.
The Cole's welcomed me into their lovely home for a family and lifestyle newborn session. Their home has so much character, that I could stay there all day browsing around and "ooo-ing and awe-ing" over the architecture and decor of their home. The Cole's let it be a surprise whether they were having a boy or girl. Only their interior designer, Callie Parr knew. She decorated the room in the most perfect way for baby Marnie. She used an orange and purple palette along with beautiful textures, and patterns.
Baby Marnie is absolutely beautiful. Congratulations Cole family on your sweet new addition. Your two girls are the coolest :)

What an awesome and sweet family I got to hang out with in April in White Sands, New Mexico. The wind was calm, the sand made you feel like you were at a beach. It was the first feeling of summer for me and I loved every bit of it.Having boys myself, I was excited to photograph this family. The oldest is has the best manners and so intelligent, the middle is full of energy and reminds you to let loose, and the baby is adorable and probably the most well behaved baby.
They love Disney cruises and Hawaii. The kids love to read, play video games, and play with action figures. Typical boys :)
Thank you Hames family for letting me photograph your family. I enjoyed being with you all and exploring the dunes.
I am so excited for the Hames family to see their beautiful photographs. Here is a sneak peek for you.
Oh boy I can't wait to share this session with you from White Sands, New Mexico. It is a magical place :)
I am currently working on the pictures I took of the beautiful and energetic Norton family. I can't wait for them to see the full session!Thank you Norton family (and neighbors) for bringing me into your home, and thanks for letting me hang out and photograph your family.
I had a blast with these crazy boys and their sweet sister :)
The Carter and Harris family came together for a family session on their horses at their ranch, because this is the only way it could be done for their family :)
Oh, and let me add, the sweet little baby has been riding a horse since he was 13 days old.
The cute little saddle below used to be Tara's. Now it will be her little boys.
Check out Trevor and Tara's website, the Carter Ranch Horse to read up about their "horse whisper" skills. If you are interested in gaining skills on working with your horse you need to check them out. People come from all over the world to have Trevor teach them his mad skills ;)
I just want to say, this session could not have come at a better time. Sometimes you just get in a rut, and you need a pick-me-up. This entire family was just that, and was exactly what I needed that weekend. Nothing terrible or sad was going on, but I needed something to get me going again. Megan (the granddaughter in the coral cardigan) contacted me and wanted a family session of her entire family. She orignially wanted them before Christmas, but I didn't have anymore available dates. Thankfully that didn't stop her from scheduling a session for January. It was a cold session, but it was full of love and lots of fun!
Thank you Harrington's, Parsley's, and Austin's for letting me hang out and be apart of ya'lls family that day.
The Lansford's live in Nebraska, but thankfully they have family in Clovis and were going to be here around Christmas. Their little guy also turned one in January so they wanted to document his one year birthday photographs too. He is about the same age as Liam and is just the cutest little thing!! I love working with the Lansford family. Do you remember their engagement session? It is one of my all time favorites!!
Have a happy and lovely day!
