Maggie and Micah.Clovis Wedding Photographer

Update*A testimonial from Maggie: "We LOVED working with you...could not have chosen a better photographer for such a fun time. Thank you so much, I love every single shot!" Thank you Lord for the gorgeous day. Thank you Maggie and Micah for being a stunning couple and so easy to work with and photograph.

Maggie and Micah met while they were both attending Texas Tech University and will be getting married in July. Congrats to you two :)

One of the things I loved about this couple is they would laugh together, flirt with one another, and became so natural in front of the camera. I mean, look at them...they look so great together!

Clovis Wedding Photographer.Whitney and Eric

This was my first trip to Indiana. There were barns everywhere and not just itty bitty barns. I'm talking HUGE barns with lots of beautiful land. Its a whole different kind of life in Columbus, IN.Eric and Whitney flew me out to Indiana for their engagement shoot and I am so grateful to them. I had a lovely adventure. We stumbled upon this old house, which had lots of unique features. One of them being a really cool greenhouse (my favorite) I am excited to be shooting their wedding in June-just a month away! Thanks Whitney and Eric for allowing me to be apart of this awesome time in your life.

For the Love Workshop.Oregon

Last week I went to a workshop called For the Love. This workshop was a photography workshop where you could come and learn more knowledge and better your skills as a photographer, but most importantly it was a retreat to focus on God and fire up the burner in my Christian walk. This season in my life is busy, and trying to balance work and family has been difficult for me. So, last week I headed up to Oregon and got with God one on one and I feel full again. The group that came to the workshop will now be some dear friends. We cried together, laughed, talked photography and shared two passions in our life-God and photography. It blesses my heart to have met these people. Our instructors Mike Larson and his wife Rachel and Zach and Jody Gray were phenomenal. Their hearts for God is contagious and their photography work is inspiring as well as how they run their successful businesses. Thanks to Ginny Corbett for listening to God and not letting anyone get in the way of putting this workshop on. Ginny has a heart for teaching and she is blessed with those  wonderful skills. She ran the workshop smoothly and I know I can speak for everyone who was there when I say we adore and love you Ginny. God gave you one of the coolest personalities. Thanks for making us laugh, and most of all thanks for getting us out of our comfort zone to get real with God.

Also, gotta say, the worship leaders, Johnathan David Helser and his wife Melissa were like no other. (check out some songs on their website)  They sang with raw emotions and you could feel God's presence. It was by far the best worship time I've had in a long time. Thanks for being real and too for getting us out of our comfort zone and getting real with God.

Lubbock TX Wedding Photographer.Megan and Michael

Michael and Megan are getting married in February in Santa Fe and I'm pumped to be joining them.  We did their engagement session in Lubbock, TX and it was so nice, because Megan and I use to be good friends when we were little and life has sent us in opposite directions until now. I'm so glad I get to be apart of this wonderful celebration. I am in love with the lighting on the first one!  Thanks Megan and Michael for an awesome evening.

New Mexico and Texas Wedding Photographer.Lonehollow Vanderpool, TX.Tara and Trevor

Tara and Trevor invited me and my family to Lonehollow over Labor Day weekend. They were married back in July and we decided to do their engagement session after the wedding. They run a horse camp at Lonehollow and it is amazing to watch them with the horses and as instructors. There is such an art form for what they do and it takes a great deal of patience, with the horses as well as the people. I also photographed them teaching a clinic to eight lovely women, which was SO amazing. I want a horse now, and I want to be a cowgirl. The day was full for them with the clinic starting from morning all the way into the evening, so we did a sunrise session. It was beautiful and peaceful. Oh, also we stayed in an airstream and Benson woke to a rooster at 7:30 a.m. And then we played in the river, and road a horse, and basically had the best time ever. Thank you Tara and Trevor for thinking of us and letting my family come along. You have no idea how much fun that was for us and how perfect it was.

Clovis NM Wedding Photographer.Tayley and Cameron

We did Tayley and Cameron's engagement shoot back in the Spring and they got married recently in July. I loved their session. We did something I've never done before; fly in a helicopter to our shoot destination. Cameron is a helicopter pilot with Aero Tech and a great one at that. So, it was very easy to gain access of one :) We flew to the coolest dry lake bed ever and it was windier than ever too. Tayley is so relaxed she didn't care her hair was blowing in the wind. She can do wind too I tell ya. I think it made her look even more beautiful. Word of advice for future engagement session peeps:  If you want shots like I captured below, just flirt it up, be lovey dovey, and show how much you are in love.  That will get you the best engagement pictures ever.

I loved working with you Tayley and Cameron and I wish you all the happiness in the world! If you want to check out some of their wedding images take a look here at Kristi Klemens blog.

Clovis New Mexico Wedding Photographer.Klisty and Duffy.Engaged

Tomorrow is the big wonderful day for these two. They are getting married at the Underground Embassy in Clovis New Mexico. It is one of Clovis's coolest places for weddings. I can't wait, because these two are so fun and energetic and the wedding will be the same.Duffy is a local disc jockey and one the locations was at the Chamber of Commerce basement where they have a museum of music history. It has a replica studio where Buddy Holly recorded his music with the sound booth and recording booth as well as radios from the past. Such a cool place! Second location was at Guthels Nursery in Clovis. I LOVE this place and the people who own and work their were so wonderful to let us go in after hours. (Thats what you get when you are with Duffy Moon. A pass to do what every you want :) j/k ) Klisty is one gorgeous girl as you can see below, and I can't wait until she is all gussied up in her wedding dress tomorrow. I also can't wait to do a "Trash the Dress" session with her after the wedding is over!!
