These two are just adorable together. You know what makes an engagement session successful? When you, as the soon-to-be bride and groom focus on each other and show affection for one another. Keep your mind on your beautiful/handsome fiance and love on each other. It really is simple. Just focus on one another, and you will get reactions like this from Sara and Tobi. Oasis Park was the perfect place for these two, because they love outdoors and they were in there elelment. I look forward to their wedding in July!

Samantha's Hotel Clovis Bridal Shoot

This bridal shoot started off with a little surprise from the bride's father. As she walked the halls in Hotel Clovis, she didn't know he would be there, and when she walked out the tears started flowing from both of them. (And me too) It was such as sweet moment.Samantha is a stunning bride and I'm so thankful to work with people like her. I know God sends me clients for a reason, and she has been a blessing to work for. She illuminates beauty from the inside out. You guys! Let me just say that it touches my heart deeply when a former youth group teen (Ben and I used to help out with our church youth group back in 2007-2008) is getting married and you see her and her soon-to-be-hubby walking with God and basing their relationship on God together as a couple. I was so blessed to witness Emily and Jacob's marriage to each other yesterday. She had the most beautiful smile on her face ALL day long and it was infectious. Congratulations you two!!

And you might say, it was a little windy yesterday. That veil was flying high as a kite.

Royal Blue Wedding Ideas

I am inspired by Courtney and Kade's wedding. I am a big fan of royal blue. It has been my favorite color since I was a little girl. Even though I loved the sage green bridesmaids dresses I picked out for my wedding, I think I would go with royal blue if Ben and I were to get married again-to each other of course :)I mean, look at these cute bow ties! And the style of the dresses are so elegant against the flower bouquets. Also, I am from Texas and my dad used to be a cotton farmer so the cotton bolls are a huge hit for me too.

Emily's Farm Living Bridal Shoot

Growing up, Emily was a bit of a tomboy.  She spent lots of time at her grandpas farm in Dalhart, Texas.  It is a special place to her, and she wanted to have her bridals taken there. One summer she was there, she gained a friend, a horse named Buddy (chestnut color below) She was there when he was born, and he would lay his head on her lap.She also shared a story of skinning a snake at the farm with her Papa and brother and sister. "Pretty big change from back then to wearing a fancy white lace dress out there...but might explain a little more why the 'tomboy' came out so much that day", says Emily. You would almost think she wasn't wearing a wedding dress, but instead jeans and a t-shirt the way she went around the farm. Her second nature of just being there kicked in and it was like she was 12 years old again.

Emily and Dustin's Oasis Park Engagement Shoot

Emily and Dustin drove from Midland, Texas to Clovis, New Mexico for their engagement shoot. I had a ball with them. They laugh, they love, they hug, they kiss, and they are just goo-goo for each other.They were like that during the engagement shoot and they were like that at their wedding this past weekend.

Congratulations to Emily and Dustin becoming one. I can't express enough what a blessing this couple is to me. Working with them has been beyond wonderful, and I think anyone who knows them would agree when I say, they are the coolest couple. They are complete servants with a compassionate heart and a smile on their faces. I feel all teary eyed just thinking of what a sweet time I had with them and their family from this weekend.
